ADVATx uses a dual-wavelength laser system that combines two specific wavelengths of light: 589nm and 1319nm. Each wavelength has unique properties that allow for targeted and effective treatment of different skin conditions.

589NM Yellow Laser

Targeted Treatment for Vascular Issues:

The 589nm wavelength is absorbed by hemoglobin, making it ideal for treating conditions like rosacea, spider veins, and facial redness.

How It Works:

The laser heats and coagulates blood vessels, which are then naturally absorbed by the body, reducing redness.

Superficial Focus:

This wavelength targets the skin’s surface, effectively treating visible conditions without affecting deeper tissues.

1319NM Infrared Laser

The number of treatments varies depending on your specific skin concerns and goals. Typically, patients may require a series of 3-5 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Dr Wong will provide a personalised treatment plan during your consultation.
ADVATx is a non-ablative treatment, meaning it does not damage the outer skin layer, which minimises side effects. Some patients may experience temporary redness, swelling, or mild discomfort. Serious side effects are rare.
Each ADVATx treatment session typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and the specific skin concerns being addressed. Dr Wong will provide a more accurate estimate during your consultation.
It is generally recommended to avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours after your ADVATx treatment to allow your skin to recover. After this period, you can resume using makeup, but be sure to choose gentle, non-comedogenic products.
